Selecting the correct valve for your application:
Below are some of the key questions you'll need to answer in order to determine the correct type and size of valve for your application:

  1. What's the application or gas service? For example Medical oxygen, SCUBA, Carbonic / Carbon Dioxide / Beverage, Fire Suppression / extinguisher
  2. What type of cylinder do you have? For example 90% of the time it's steel or aluminum
  3. What's the service pressure rating of the cylinder? Stamped on the side of the cylinder
  4. What size cylinder do you have? Or what thread size do you need

Determining the right safety for your valve:
In order to determine which safety is appropriate for your application you will need to identify the gas service & working pressure of the cylinder, and valve manufacturer. Only use the valve manufacturer's recommended replacement safeties for the valve. Do not interchange different manufacturer's safeties.
